MISSION & VISION STATEMENT United in love, service and collaboration, we the Parish of St. John Bosco, Makati, form a Christ-centered and missionary community, with preferential ministry for the youth, the family and the marginalized, inspired by St. John Bosco and guided by Mary, Help of Christians. We undertake the path of NEW EVANGELIZATION through lifelong faith formation, meaningful liturgical celebrations, uplifting social services and joyful community building. All for the greater glory of the Triune God.

St. John Bosco Church

In 1972 John carberry made a new church in Maryland Heights. The reason for this is because there are a growing population in that area. A teacher called Donal Hoffman who was a teacher was called to be the first priest in that church. He named the church St. John Bosco as the patron saint of youth. The first year of Sunday masses was held in McKelvey school and Father lived in seven pines. At June 10 1973 a new church was made at 129394 Marine Avenue. The Builder for this church is Ray Maritz. In September 1973 Bishop George Gottwald set a foundation to the church and in July 21 1974 The first mass was held by Fr. Hoffman The sisters Christine massman was the first coordinator for the parish school which had over 300 students.

The parishioners raise money so they had a event called the parish carnival which raised enough money to pay the church. Fr. Hoffman was replace by Fr. Ken Zimmerman as the pastor and already already made ideas to expand there area. On 1988 Fr, Patrick Laughlin became pastor and he wanted to make dreams come true with the help of the parish council expand to new area to build a parish center and some business office. Msgr. Roland Gannon became a local as a Senior Priest and two sisters of the community for Mexico started taking care of the local. In December of 1989 Archbishop John May was devoted to the parish church and the new rectory which now the gym is now Father Hoffman Hall to honor him in 2007.
